ChromeBoard runs AI security analysis on Chrome extension source code using our own hardware. Every report is generated by a locally hosted large language model — no external APIs, no data sharing, no per-query costs to third parties.
The trade-off: local AI is slow. A single security report takes 2–5 minutes on our current CPU-based setup. With better hardware or cloud AI credits, we could scan 10x faster and cover far more extensions.
Why We're Looking for Sponsors
- 250,000+ extensions to scan — at current speed, full coverage takes months
- New extensions and updates arrive daily and need rescanning
- Better models = better reports, but they require more compute
- Everything runs on our dime — no VC funding, no ads (yet)
What We're Looking For
- AI cloud credits — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, Together.ai, etc.
- GPU access — even temporary access to a GPU node would dramatically speed up scans
- Hosting/infrastructure sponsors — bandwidth, storage
- Financial sponsors — to fund hardware upgrades
