Overview
Word Counter Plus is a lightweight, privacy-friendly Chrome extension that helps you quickly analyze any selected text. Just highlight the text and either right-click and choose “Word Counter Plus” — or press Alt + E (Windows/Linux) or Command + Shift + E (Mac) for instant results. It will tell you the number of words and characters selected as well as the average and longest word length. Unlike similar word counting extensions, this one does not open an external webpage just to do the counting, nor does it require any permissions.
