Overview
Volume Booster by EmproIT turns up the audio on any tab — up to 600%.
Some videos, calls, and clips are just too quiet, even at full system volume. Volume Booster pushes past the browser's normal 100% limit using the Web Audio API, so you can finally hear that one quiet tab clearly.
FEATURES
🔊 Boost up to 600% — a clean slider from 0% all the way to 600%.
🎚️ Lower it too — drop below 100% to soften a loud tab, or reset to exactly 100%.
🎛️ Bass & treble — shape the sound with low- and high-shelf tone controls (−12 to +12 dB), one tap back to flat.
🗂️ Per-tab control — every tab keeps its own independent volume and tone at the same time.
⚡ One-tap presets — 100% (Reset), 150%, 200%, 300%, 400%, 600%.
🌙 Light & dark — the popup matches your system theme and is fully keyboard accessible.
🧠 Remembers your settings — reopen the popup and your volume and tone are still there.
🔒 Private by design — audio is processed locally in your browser. No accounts, no tracking, nothing sent to any server.
HOW IT WORKS
HTML media tops out at 100%, so Volume Booster routes the tab's audio through the Web Audio API — two shelving filters for bass and treble, then a gain stage — and plays it back amplified. The gain is a true amplifier, so the boost is real. (Note: pushing well above 300–400%, or large tone boosts, can distort depending on the source — that's normal at extreme levels.)
GOOD TO KNOW
Some pages can't be boosted: browser pages (chrome://), the Chrome Web Store, the built-in PDF viewer, and DRM-protected audio on certain streaming services. Volume Booster shows a clear message on those pages instead of failing silently.
