Three procedurally generated noise layers, just like a real record:

• Surface Noise — The continuous "hiss" from the stylus tracking the groove
• Clicks & Pops — Random "tick" and "pop" from dust and scratches
• Dust Particles — Brief "crackle" from particles hitting the needle

Vinyl Crackle does NOT collect, store, or transmit any user data. It does not access your audio content. The crackle is generated locally as a separate audio overlay. Your settings are stored only in Chrome's built-in sync storage.
