Upwork Job Safety Score helps you spot better opportunities and skip the rest—without opening every job.
What it does
On Upwork’s job list, each listing gets a score (0–100) and a simple label: good, Alert, or danger. Green means the job looks solid; yellow means caution; red means higher risk. You see this at a glance on every card, so you can focus on jobs that match what you want.
Hover for the breakdown
Hover over a job card to see how the score was built: base score, budget, client rating, red-flag words, safe words, and more. No need to open the job page to understand why it’s good or risky. With Premium, you can also see full job details (duration, rate, experience level) in the same tooltip.
Filter and focus
Set a minimum score and hide jobs below it. Use saved keywords to filter the list by your own terms. That way you spend less time scrolling and more time on listings that fit you.
Memo per job
Add a short memo to any job card (e.g. “follow up”, “maybe later”). Your notes stay on the card so you can remember which jobs you cared about—no need to leave Upwork.
Your rules
You can customize score weights (e.g. how much “no budget” or “rating hidden” affects the score) and edit your red-flag and safe word lists. The score then reflects your own priorities.
Free and Premium
Free: Score badge (good / Alert / danger), hover score breakdown, per-job memo, and hide jobs below a score threshold.
Premium (after a short trial): Hover for full job details, saved words for the search panel, and custom score weights and word lists. Premium is a low monthly subscription so you can cancel anytime.
