Timeskip — Jump To Any Da

Overview
TimeSkip is a Chrome extension that lets you jump to any date on any X (Twitter) profile — instantly, without endless scrolling, and without a paid API.
⸺
🕐 WHAT IS TIMESKIP?
X (Twitter) has no built-in way to navigate a profile by date. Want to see what someone posted in 2016? You have to scroll. And scroll. And scroll — hoping the page keeps loading.
TimeSkip fixes that. It adds a compact date-picker widget directly onto any X/Twitter profile page. Pick a month and year, hit Go, and land exactly where you want. It also includes quick shortcuts to jump "1 year ago" or "2 years ago," and a "First Posts" button that automatically finds the very earliest tweets from any account.
⸺
⚡ KEY FEATURES
🗓 Jump to Any Date
Pick any month and year on any X/Twitter profile and skip straight to posts from that period. Works on every public account — journalists, brands, creators, politicians, athletes, anyone.
🚩 Find First Tweets
The "First Posts" button automatically locates the earliest tweets from any X/Twitter account — no manual digging, no scrolling through years of content.
⏩ Quick Jump Shortcuts
One-click buttons to jump "1 year ago" or "2 years ago" (same month as today). Instantly compare what an account was posting this time last or two years back.
🎯 Auto-Detects the Current Profile
No copy-pasting usernames. TimeSkip reads whichever profile you're on and pre-fills the controls automatically.
📌 In-Page Widget
A floating widget appears directly on the profile page — no need to open the popup each time. Toggle it with Alt+T.
🔄 Works on x.com and twitter.com
Compatible with both the current X domain and the classic Twitter URL.
🚫 No API Required
Uses X's own Advanced Search URL format — no API key, no rate limits, no cost.

🎯 WHO IS THIS FOR?
→ Researchers and journalists investigating what someone posted during a specific time period — find tweets from any date range without manually filling out Twitter's Advanced Search form every time.
→ Fans who want to see how their favourite creator, musician, or athlete started out on X — find their first tweets from 2009, 2010, or whenever they joined.
→ Marketers and brand analysts studying how accounts have evolved. What was a competitor posting during the 2020 lockdowns? What did a campaign look like 3 years ago?
→ Power users who know Twitter's Advanced Search exists but find it slow and clunky to use repeatedly.
→ Anyone who's ever tried to scroll back years on a Twitter profile and given up.

🔒 PRIVACY FIRST
TimeSkip does not collect, sell, or share your data. It does not read your tweets, log your browsing history, or track what profiles you visit. When you pick a date and click Go, TimeSkip constructs and opens a Twitter Advanced Search URL — exactly what you'd get if you used Twitter's own search bar manually.
Local preferences (selected date, usage counter) are saved in your browser only. If you sign in, your email is stored securely via our authentication provider for account sync only.
