Privacy and permissions:

- Requests `storage`, Reddit host access, and optional `notifications` when the user enables desktop alerts
- Initializes across Reddit pages and activates on supported comment-thread pages so it can refresh comments in place without missing SPA thread visits
- Uses a small background service worker for badge counts and optional desktop alerts
- Does not request `tabs`, `history`, `cookies`, `webRequest`, or `declarativeNetRequest`
- Does not include telemetry, analytics, ads, or third-party data sharing in the current version
