Overview
### Stop rewriting the same idea four times.
You just read something brilliant — a tweet, a Reddit comment, a newsletter paragraph, a blog post. You want to share the insight with your audience.
But LinkedIn needs a hook and a CTA. X needs a punchy thread. Your newsletter needs a warm intro. Your YouTube script needs a 30-second pattern interrupt.
ThreadFlip does all four in seconds.
**Select. Right-click. Pick a format. Done.**
### How it works
1. Highlight any text on any webpage
2. Right-click → "Repurpose with ThreadFlip" (or press Alt+Shift+T)
3. ThreadFlip opens in a side panel, auto-cleans the source text, and detects whether it came from Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, or a blog
4. Pick your format: LinkedIn post, X thread, Newsletter intro, or YouTube hook script
5. Hit Generate — output streams in real-time, word by word
6. Copy it, tweak it, save it to your library, or hit Rewrite for a second pass
### Your voice, not a robot's
ThreadFlip doesn't produce generic AI slop. You configure your **Content Identity** once:
- **Your role** — B2B Founder, Newsletter Writer, X Creator, Product Manager, Educator, or fully Custom
- **Your voice** — 3 adjectives that define your tone (e.g. "direct, data-driven, contrarian")
- **Your audience** — who you write for
Every generation uses a role-specific system prompt tuned to sound like a real human with a real point of view. Not a chatbot summary.
Quality guardrails baked in:
- Never starts with "I"
- Blocks 20+ AI cliches (no "game-changer", "deep dive", "leverage", "in today's world")
- First line is always a scroll-stopping hook
- No preamble, no "Here's your post:" wrapper — just the content
### Smart source cleanup
ThreadFlip auto-detects the source and cleans it before generation:
- **Twitter/X** — strips "RT @handle:" prefixes, like counts, t.co links
- **Reddit** — removes vote counts, moderator tags, deleted markers
- **YouTube** — strips timestamps, [music] tags, normalises filler words
- **Blogs** — removes share buttons, "Read more" links, image credits
### 4 platform-native formats
- **LinkedIn Post** — Hook line + 3 value paragraphs + CTA. Max 1,300 characters. Up to 3 relevant hashtags.
- **X Thread** — 5-7 numbered tweets, each under 280 characters. First tweet is the hook, last is the follow CTA.
- **Newsletter Intro** — 180-220 words, warm and conversational. Ends with a natural "In this issue..." transition.
- **YouTube Hook Script** — First 30 seconds. Pattern interrupt opening, promise, tease. Under 80 words.
### Content Library
Every generation you save is stored with full metadata — source URL, page title, format, role, custom tags, and timestamp. Search by keyword or tag. Export your entire library as CSV or Notion-compatible Markdown.
### Tone Slider
Adjust any generation on a 5-point scale: Very Formal → Formal → Balanced → Casual → Very Casual.
### Magic Rewrite
Already have a draft? Hit Rewrite to tighten the language, strengthen the hook, and improve the flow — without changing your core idea.
### Bring Your Own API Key
Enter your own OpenAI API key in settings. It's encrypted with AES-256 and stored locally. Zero quota limits. You pay OpenAI directly. A green "Using your own key" badge confirms it's active.
