HOW IT WORKS

The Great Filter sits between you and your social media feed, evaluating each post before it reaches you using Claude AI. Posts that match your filter settings are quietly replaced with a transparent placeholder showing what was removed and why. You're always in control — every filtered post can be revealed with a single click. Nothing is censored or permanently removed from your choice to view it. Our hope is that your algorithms will slowly learn to bring you peace and help to free you from spirals of anxiety and depression that social media can sometimes unwittingly (or wittingly) promote.

OPEN — Only the most explicit violence, targeted harassment, and obvious financial scams are removed. Everything else comes through.

CURATED — Outrage farming, psychological manipulation, coordinated harassment, and financial scams are filtered out. Real news, opinions, and debate come through clearly.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

We built The Great Filter with a simple principle: the product should protect you, not study you.

Post text is sent to our server for evaluation and immediately discarded. We never log what you read. We never store filter verdicts. We never build profiles of your browsing behavior. Your Transparency Report data lives exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us.

The only information we store: your email address, your subscription status, and a count of how many evaluations you've used this month.
