Overview

Text Adjust is a free accessibility tool that gives you real-time control over how text appears on any website. Change fonts, adjust letter spacing, word spacing, line height, and paragraph spacing — all from a simple, draggable control panel that works on every page you visit.

Who it’s for:
Text Adjust is built for anyone who wants a better reading experience on the web. It’s especially helpful for people with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or other reading differences — but it’s also useful if you experience eye strain, screen fatigue, or simply prefer a different font or spacing than what a website provides.

What you can do:
• Choose from a curated set of dyslexia-friendly font families to replace any webpage’s default font
• Fine-tune letter spacing, word spacing, paragraph spacing, and line height using slider controls or keyboard arrows
• Move the control panel anywhere on screen with drag-and-drop, or minimize it to save space
• Settings apply per page, so each site gets the setup that works best for you

Multilingual support:
The extension interface supports 21 languages, automatically matching your browser’s language setting. Supported languages include English, French, French Canadian, Spanish, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), and more.

Privacy-first design:
Text Adjust does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no analytics. Your reading preferences stay on your device.

No barriers to access:
No medical documentation. No software requests. No disability disclosure. Just install and adjust. Text Adjust is built on the belief that everyone should be able to customize their reading experience without asking permission.

Standards alignment:
Text Adjust supports the text spacing adjustments described in WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.12 (Text Spacing), helping users meet their own accessibility preferences on websites that don’t offer these controls natively.
