Tells — Read What People
✨ AI-Powered View on Chrome Web StoreChrome will indicate if you already have this installed.
Overview
tells is a paid web app companion for people who work seriously with text: messages, profiles, difficult replies, client screenshots, and the sentences people keep rereading before they answer.
The browser extension keeps tells close to the places where those messages already live. Paste text into the popup, or select text on a supported message surface and right-click "Analyze with tells". The extension sends only the text you choose to analyze to tells, then returns a structured read: actual meaning, emotional state, what was not said, confidence, and a safer next move to test.
What it is for:
- reading subtext in messages before you answer
- preparing client conversations around exact wording
- checking dating, workplace, family, and self-awareness signals
- using tells in 12 output languages from a compact browser surface
What it is not:
- not therapy, legal advice, medical advice, or a verdict
- not an automatic page reader
- not a background scraper
- not a free standalone product
Privacy:
the extension stores your API key locally in your browser. It does not use sync storage, does not sell data, does not run ads, and does not train on your input. Message text is sent only when you explicitly click Analyze or use the right-click action.
