TabCaster records your active Chrome tab or full screen as a clean, high-quality video and saves it directly to your device. Nothing is sent to a server, uploaded to the cloud, or stored anywhere outside your own computer. The recording exists only on your machine, in the format you choose.

Why the permissions?
Chrome requires specific permissions for any extension that captures screen content or audio. TabCaster uses these permissions solely to access the tab or screen you choose to record and, optionally, your microphone. They are not used for tracking, analytics, or any purpose beyond capturing the video you explicitly start.

Automatic blur: detects and blurs common sensitive patterns including email addresses, passwords, and username fields

Blurred elements are masked in the recording but remain fully functional on the page
