Overview
Tab Sound Recorder is a Chrome extension for recording, saving, and editing audio from the browser tab you are listening to.
Features
・Start and stop recording from the toolbar popup
・Recording continues in the background even after closing the popup
・Pause and resume recording
・Auto-stop after the number of seconds you enter
・Scheduled recording: start after the number of seconds you enter (1 second or more, with countdown display)
・System notifications on start/completion (toggle on/off in settings)
・Real-time recording timer display
・Red badge on the toolbar icon while recording
・Preview playback with seek bar and volume slider right in the popup after stopping
・Save with a custom filename (auto-named by date/time if left blank)
・Tab audio keeps playing during recording — no muting

・Auto-download: automatically save the file when recording stops

How to use
1. Open the tab you want to record
2. Click the Tab Sound Recorder icon in the toolbar
3. Press the "Record" button
4. Press the "Stop" button when finished
5. Preview the recording in the popup, enter a filename, and save
6. Open the recording editor when needed to trim or adjust the audio before downloading
7. Enable "Save recording history" in settings to show a history button in the popup, where you can browse and re-download past recordings
Privacy
Recorded audio, waveform data, edit metadata, and unsaved edit drafts are processed locally within your browser. Recorded audio is temporarily stored locally for preview and download, and is automatically deleted on reset or when starting a new recording. No data is ever sent to external servers.
