Manage your family's Nintendo Switch screen time right from your browser — no phone app required.

Switch Family Controls is a free, open-source extension that connects directly to your Nintendo Account and gives you the same controls as the official mobile app, without needing your phone.

HOW IT WORKS

Click the extension icon and sign in with the same Nintendo Account you use for parental controls. A helper page walks you through Nintendo's own login flow — your credentials go directly to Nintendo, never to us. Once signed in, your registered devices appear in the dashboard immediately.

Note: don't have the official Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app installed on the device you use to authenticate, or the login flow can conflict.

PRIVACY & SECURITY

• Authentication tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored in Chrome's local storage.
• All communication happens directly between your browser and Nintendo's official servers (accounts.nintendo.com and Nintendo's parental-controls API).
• We do not run any servers of our own, and we never see or store your credentials.
• No analytics, no ad networks, no third-party tracking of any kind.

It uses a reverse-engineered version of the API behind Nintendo's own Parental Controls app, in the same way the Home Assistant Nintendo Parental Controls integration does.
