Overview
SupportBuddy is an AI-powered copilot that helps support agents respond faster and more consistently in Intercom.
When a customer sends a message, SupportBuddy automatically generates a suggested response grounded in your company's knowledge base. The suggestion appears as ghost text in the Intercom composer — press Tab to accept, start typing to dismiss, or refresh for a new suggestion.
HOW IT WORKS
1. A customer sends a message in Intercom
2. SupportBuddy searches your knowledge base for relevant information
3. A suggested response appears as ghost text in the composer
4. Press Tab to accept, or start typing your own response

SETUP
Your administrator creates a SupportBuddy agent and shares a connection code. Install the extension, click the icon, paste the code, and you're connected. No complex integrations required.
PERMISSIONS
- Storage: Saves your connection settings locally
- Host access (app.intercom.com): Required to display suggestions in the Intercom composer
