Overview
Smart Search Router automatically routes your searches to Google or Baidu based on real-time network accessibility. If Google is reachable, searches go to Google. If not, they go to Baidu — no manual switching needed.
Designed for users in regions where Google availability is inconsistent.

SETUP (ONE TIME)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
After installing the extension:
1. Go to chrome://settings/searchEngines
2. Under "Site search", click Add
3. Fill in:
· Search engine: Smart Search
· Keyword: ss
· URL: https://smartsearch.local/?q=%s
4. Click Add

USAGE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Option A — Set as default:
Find Smart Search in chrome://settings/searchEngines → three-dot menu → Make default. All address bar searches will now route automatically.
Option B — Use only when needed:
Type "ss" in the address bar, press Space, type your query, press Enter.

OTHER FEATURES

· Click the extension icon to see current Google accessibility status
· Use Manual Override in the popup to force Baidu regardless of detected status
· No data collected — all processing happens locally on your device
