Slack Stealth Mode
View on Chrome Web StoreChrome will indicate if you already have this installed.
Overview
Slack Stealth Mode hides the “is typing…” indicator in Slack Web so you can write at your own pace without broadcasting it to the channel.
No pressure. No suspense. Just send the message when you’re ready.
What it does:
- Removes typing indicators in Slack (browser version)
- Keeps conversations visually quieter
- Works automatically once installed
What it doesn’t do:
- Doesn’t modify or store your messages
- Doesn’t access your data
- Doesn’t affect Slack outside your browser
This extension runs locally in your browser and only adjusts the Slack interface.
