Shorts Intent Check is a tiny, friction-by-design extension that interrupts the YouTube Shorts autopilot. The moment you land on a Shorts URL, the feed is gently blurred, videos pause, and you're asked one simple question:
"Why are you opening Shorts?"
A 3-second countdown unlocks the buttons — just enough time to think. Then you choose:
Continue — watch this once, mindfully.
Snooze 10 minutes — quick break, then ask me again.
Go back — close the tab on the impulse before it starts.
No accounts. No tracking. No nagging.
