Reravel Make Distracting
✨ AI-Powered View on Chrome Web StoreChrome will indicate if you already have this installed.
Overview
Reravel applies visual and behavioral friction to distracting websites. Instead of blocking sites, it makes them boring.
When you visit a monitored site, Reravel:
* Shows a timed interstitial with a random quote and a personal reminder to pause before you scroll
* Applies grayscale, reduced contrast, reduced opacity, blur, and a vignette overlay
* Optionally overrides site fonts with plain serif, monospace, or sans-serif
* Flattens bold text and tightens line spacing to remove visual hierarchy
Every effect is configurable with individual sliders. Turn them up for maximum friction, or dial them back when you need to actually use a site.
Features:
* 18 pre-configured sites (social media and others)
* Add any website with a single click (Chrome will prompt for permission)
* Snooze for 1 or 5 minutes when you need temporary access
* Bizarro mode: inverted colors, animated hue rotation, silly font, and visual chaos
* Keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+G) to toggle without opening the popup
* 30 rotating quotes from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Cal Newport, and others
* Customizable personal message shown during the interstitial pause
* All settings sync across your Chrome browsers
Reravel doesn't collect any data. All settings are stored locally in your browser. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking.
