Reeve is an AI assistant that handles ads, support, analytics, email, and more for your business. This extension is the bridge between Reeve and your browser — it lets Reeve see what's on screen and interact with web pages on your behalf.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Run the Reeve desktop app on your machine.
2. Click the Reeve toolbar icon on any Chrome tab.
3. The badge turns ON — Reeve can now see and interact with that tab.
4. Click again to detach. You're always in control.

When attached, Reeve can read page content, click buttons, fill forms, navigate — anything you'd do manually, but faster. It uses the Chrome DevTools Protocol, the same interface Chrome's own developer tools use.

Reeve sees your browser like you do. No screen recording, no screenshots flying to the cloud — it reads the page structure directly through Chrome's built-in debugging protocol.

PRIVACY & SECURITY

This extension was built with a simple principle: your data stays on your machine.

• Localhost only — The extension connects exclusively to a relay server running on your computer (127.0.0.1). No external servers. No cloud endpoints. Nothing leaves your machine through this extension.

• User-initiated — Every tab attachment requires you to click the toolbar icon. Reeve never attaches to a tab on its own. You decide what Reeve can see, and you can disconnect instantly.

• No tracking — The extension contains zero analytics, zero telemetry, zero tracking pixels. We don't collect usage data, browsing history, or any personal information through the extension.

• No data storage — The only thing stored locally is your relay port preference. No page content, no browsing data, no credentials are ever saved by the extension.

• Open protocol — Uses Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP), the same standard protocol used by Chrome DevTools, Puppeteer, and Playwright. Nothing proprietary, nothing hidden.

PERMISSIONS

This extension requests only the permissions it needs to function:

• Debugger — Core functionality. Uses Chrome DevTools Protocol to relay page state to the Reeve desktop app running on localhost.
• Tabs — Reads tab titles and URLs so Reeve knows what page is open.
• Active Tab — Accesses the current tab only when you click the extension icon.
• Storage — Saves your relay port preference. That's it.
