Overview
Tired of saving things you want to read to a list you never look at? Looking for a little more serendipity in your reading habits?
The Reading River is a gentle solution. This extension allows you to quickly save articles and webpages directly from Chrome into your Reading River account.
Then you can either check the River whenever you want to read something, or sign-up to an email newsletter which selects items from your River every day and sends them to you. In a way, it's like receiving a newsletter curated by you.
When you find something you want to read later, click the extension to capture the current page title and URL. The app should add an estimated reading time, which you can change if you need to, and then choose how important that piece of reading is to you by setting a priority (where 1 is "I'll see you again one day my friend" and 10 is "I have to read this very soon!").
Every day, the Reading River will recommend you two things from your own pile of reading. The first one will select from your important, high-priority reading. The second one will just take an item randomly from the river.
The more you use it, the more value the River will bring, as it returns items from deeper in your past that you might have forgotten about.
The extension is designed for users of Reading River and requires a Reading River account. It only sends the page details you choose to save to Reading River.
