Overview
Random Google Photos Slideshow turns a public Google Photos shared album into a clean, full-screen random slideshow for TVs, projectors, event displays, parties, memorials, family gatherings, and shared photo albums.
Paste a shared album link, choose photos, videos, or both, and launch a Google Photos slideshow without downloading the album, rearranging files, or picking every item by hand.
What it does:
- Randomizes playback from a Google Photos shared album
- Plays photos, videos, or both
- Opens a full-screen slideshow viewer built for large displays
- Pairs portrait photos side by side on wide screens
- Lets landscape photos and videos fill the screen
- Uses smooth fades and slow continuous motion
- Keeps controls hidden until hover, click, touch, keyboard, or focus
- Lets you set the slide interval, with a 15-second default
- Uses a one-time $5 lifetime unlock through Stripe
- Provides previous, pause/play, and next controls
- Filters broken or unavailable media before playback
- Stores album data, slideshow settings, and local unlock status in Chrome
It is built for people who already have a Google Photos shared album and want it to feel like a polished random slideshow on a screen, not a manual photo-by-photo presentation.
Privacy and safety:
- No analytics
- No remote code
- No account creation inside the extension
- Payment handled by Stripe on a hosted checkout page
- Does not upload, edit, delete, reorder, archive, or modify Google Photos albums
- Stores only the album URL, discovered media URLs, slideshow settings, and local unlock status in Chrome
