PageChat is a sidebar-based commenting tool for the web. On any page you visit, you can view public comments for that specific page and post your own text-based insights to help future visitors understand context and different perspectives quickly.

• Account and sync: Sign up / log in with email and use the same account across devices.
• Subscription options: Free users can access core features, while Pro users unlock broader reading and posting limits.

Permissions and why they are needed
• sidePanel: Displays the main PageChat interface in the browser side panel.
• storage: Stores session and basic local preferences.
• tabs / activeTab: Detects the current tab URL and maps it to the correct page thread.
• contextMenus: Provides a right-click shortcut to open PageChat quickly.
• host permissions (http/https): Allows PageChat to run on the pages users choose to browse and fetch thread data for those pages.
Privacy and security
• We do not collect payment card details through the extension.
• We do not read passwords or sensitive form input from websites.
• Comment data is used only to provide page-level discussion features and basic abuse prevention.
• Users can log out at any time and manage subscription renewal from the account area.
