Overview
See what changed — without alerts, accounts, or tracking.
PageChange shows you what changed on a web page since the last time you visited it.
No monitoring.
No email alerts.
No accounts.
No data leaves your browser.
How it works
1. Enable PageChange on a site you care about.
2. Visit the page once to save a snapshot.
3. When you return, PageChange shows:
- Which sections changed
- What text was added
- What text was removed
4. Optionally filter to “Show only changed” sections.
Everything happens locally in your browser.
Privacy by design
- Page content is stored locally using Chrome’s storage API.
- No data is transmitted to any server.
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry.
- The extension runs only on sites you explicitly enable.
- You can delete stored data at any time.
Useful for
- Release notes
- Pricing pages
- Policies and terms
- Product documentation
- Vendor updates
- Any page you revisit and want clarity on
Permissions
PageChange uses minimal permissions:
- storage — to store page snapshots locally.
- scripting — to inject the badge and change viewer on sites you enable.
- activeTab — to enable the extension for the current site when you click “Enable”.
- optional host permissions — the extension runs only on sites you choose.
Current Version
v0.1 — Core change detection with:
- Per-site opt-in
- Section-aware change display
- Minor wording detection
- “Show only changed” toggle
