Overview
Page Pinner: Visual Bookmarks lets you drop tiny pins anywhere on a web page and return to that exact position later. Perfect for long articles, docs, and infinite feeds.
⭐ What you can do
Add Pin — save the current scroll position as a dot on the page
Label & Color — rename pins and pick a custom color
Prev / Next — cycle through pins in reading order
Hide Pins — toggle all dots on/off without deleting
Clear All / Delete — remove one pin or wipe the page clean
Drag to Reorder — move a pin on the page; the list auto-sorts
⚙️ How it works
Open the popup → click Add Pin
Your pin appears on the page and in the list
Click a list item (or use Prev/Next) to jump right back to that spot later
🔒 Private by design
Pins (labels, colors, positions) are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local
No account required
No data sent to any server
🛠️ Permissions explained
“Read and change data on websites you visit” — needed to place pins and scroll back to them
Storage — saves your pins locally
🌐 Works on most sites
Doesn’t run on Chrome’s internal pages (chrome://…), the Chrome Web Store, or the built-in PDF viewer
Fully supports single-page apps and search results
