Overview
LOKT helps you build healthier browsing habits by tracking time spent on websites you choose, showing daily progress, and blocking selected sites when you want extra focus. This helps you avoid unintentional doomscrolling sessions that distract you from your progress towards your goals.
You can mark domains as Flagged or Track Only from your LOKT dashboard. Flagged sites are subject to the daily limit you set so you are restricted in your daily use. Track Only is a convenient way to track how much you spend on any site of your choosing before deciding whether they too need to be limited.
Flagged domains count toward your Daily Limit, Dopamine Score, Site Visits, and Day Streak. Your Day Streak increases each calendar day that your flagged-site usage stays below the daily limit you set. If you exceed that limit, LOKT can require approval from your chosen accountability buddy before you continue using flagged sites that day.
Your accountability buddy is an optional feature that allows you to go beyond your daily limit on flagged sites if someone that you designate ahead of time approves more time. This takes the weight off your shoulders in deciding if you should spend more time on a site in a given day and helps you stop relying on willpower alone to stay focused.
The extension popup shows:
- Day Streak
- Track Only Today
- Flagged Today
- Dopamine Score
- Site Visits
- Daily Goal progress
- Accountability buddy requests
- Approved access timers
LOKT-in Mode is a focus mode that temporarily blocks all flagged domains for a duration you choose. It is designed to help you stay focused by preventing casual visits to distracting websites during work, study, or other focused sessions.
LOKT only tracks domains that you configure in your account. Your browsing metrics are synced to your LOKT account so you can view progress in the dashboard.
