Overview
Ever hover over a link and wonder if it's going to open in a new tab or stay in your current one?
Link Opens in New Tab adds a simple status bar overlay at the bottom of your browser window. When you hover over any link, it shows the destination URL and whether the link opens in a new tab.
HOW IT WORKS
• Hover over any link to see its URL in the status bar
• Links that open in a new tab show the URL followed by "opens in new tab"
• Works with target="_blank", named targets, and inherited base targets
• Works inside iframes and embedded content
• Compatible with all Chromium browsers, including Brave, Dia, Opera, and Vivaldi
BUILT FOR
• Web professionals who review link targets
• Anyone who wants to know where a click will take them before they commit
• Safari users who miss this feature in Chrome
LIGHTWEIGHT & PRIVATE
• No background processes — only runs when you hover over links
• No data collection whatsoever — everything happens locally in your browser
• No account required
