Killerwhale (kéet) represents one of our clan crests in Tlingit culture, the Dakl’aweidi Clan. Humans and animals exist equally, we give respect to all things because everything has spirit.
Award winning Tlingit Artist and carver James Johnson, born and raised in Juneau, AK. James belongs to the Tlingit Dakl’aweidi Clan (killerwhale).
