KeywordLens AI is a local-first ASO (App Store Optimization) toolkit that runs in your Chrome side panel. Research keywords, track ranks, spot competitor moves, and iterate on metadata faster without juggling spreadsheets.

What You Can Do

Keyword Research (multi-keyword, multi-country): Analyze up to 20 keywords per run across selected countries with popularity + difficulty scoring and targeting guidance.
Scout Trends (30-region scans): Scan multiple markets in one run, see per-market deltas, and save snapshots to build a trend history.
Rank Tracking + Competitive Intel: Refresh snapshots, view rank history charts and a rank heatmap, tag keywords into folders, run keyword gap analysis vs competitors, and grade listings with the ASO Audit Scorecard.
Review Miner: Pull competitor review themes, identify 1-2 star pain points and 5 star love phrases, and turn review data into actionable insights.
Metadata Studio: Optimize Title/Subtitles/Keywords with character counters (30/30/100), duplicate-token detection, keyword packing preview, auto-translation/localization, and a Search Result Simulator.
Experiment Tracking: Log ASO experiments (icon/screenshot/metadata changes) and correlate them with rank velocity using the A/B Test Tracking Timeline.
Exports: Export scout scans and rank history as CSV/Markdown, and generate App Store Connect-ready localization CSV from Metadata Studio.
Smart Badge Monitoring: Get passive badge signals from background checks so you can catch changes without keeping the panel open.

Privacy, Data, and Permissions (Transparent By Design)

Local-first storage: Your snapshots, drafts, and settings are saved locally (chrome.storage.local).
No required account for core workflows: Keyword research and ASO analysis work without creating an account.
External requests only for features you use: The extension connects to Apple iTunes endpoints and Google Play for public app data. AI calls are only made if you enable BYOK, configure a provider, and grant optional host access for that provider.
No backend required for core workflows: Most features run entirely in your browser. (If you activate a premium license, verification can be done via Lemon Squeezy.)

sidePanel: to show KeywordLens AI inside Chrome's side panel.
storage: to save keyword/rank history, drafts, tags, and settings.
alarms: to run lightweight background checks for passive badge monitoring (12h or daily).
