The extension supports saving from virtually any webpage:

MULTIPLE WAYS TO SAVE

This extension gives you three ways to save content:

1. Toolbar Icon — Click the KeepStream icon in your browser toolbar to save the page you're currently viewing. The popup shows the page title and URL so you can confirm before saving.
2. Right-Click a Link — See an interesting link in an article, on social media, or in search results? Right-click it and select "Save link to KeepStream" to save the destination without opening it.
3. Right-Click a Page — Right-click anywhere on the current page and select "Save page to KeepStream" for a quick save without opening the popup.

All three methods save the URL to your KeepStream library instantly. The KeepStream backend takes care of content extraction, categorization, tagging, and audio preparation automatically.

GETTING STARTED

1. Install the extension
2. Click the KeepStream icon in your toolbar
3. Sign in with your KeepStream account (email and password)
4. Start saving articles

You'll stay signed in across browser sessions. Your saved items appear in the KeepStream mobile app within seconds.

PRIVACY AND DATA

KeepStream respects your privacy:

• No browsing history collected — The extension never monitors or records your browsing activity

• No tracking scripts — No analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking code runs in the extension

• No content scripts — Nothing is injected into the web pages you visit

• Minimal permissions — The extension only requests the permissions it needs:
- "activeTab" to read the URL of the page you're saving (only when you click the extension)
- "storage" to keep you signed in between sessions
- "contextMenus" to add right-click save options

• Data sent to KeepStream — When you save a page, only the URL is sent to KeepStream's servers for processing. Your email is used for authentication. No other data is collected or transmitted.

• Local authentication — Your sign-in session is stored locally in Chrome's extension storage and is never shared with third parties.
