JackalShield anonymizes sensitive documents before you share them with AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. It automatically detects and replaces personally identifiable information (PII) — so you can use AI safely without exposing confidential data.

How it works
Drag and drop a document onto the ChatGPT or Claude chat window — or use the extension popup.
JackalShield detects sensitive data using regex patterns and a local AI model (NER).
All detected PII is replaced with realistic-looking placeholder data.
The anonymized text is pasted directly into the chat.
What gets detected and replaced
PESEL (Polish national ID number)
NIP (Polish tax identification number)
REGON (Polish business registry number)
Names (first and last names, detected by AI)
Addresses (street, city — detected by AI)
Phone numbers (Polish mobile and landline formats)
Email addresses
Bank account numbers (IBAN format)
Credit card numbers
Postal codes
ID card numbers
Court case signatures
IP addresses
100% local processing
All anonymization runs entirely in your browser using a local AI model (ONNX int8, ~129 MB, downloaded once and cached). No document content, no PII, and no user data is ever sent to our servers.

The only network calls are:

License key verification (sends only the license key, no document content)
Initial model download from HuggingFace (one-time, ~129 MB)
Text extraction for binary file formats (raw bytes sent for text extraction only — no PII processing on server)
