FuturaTab replaces Chrome's boring new-tab page with a friendly face from the 31st century and a one-line affirmation to start you off right. Every tab, a different character. Every character, their own voice. Pet them, collect them, and let the crew hype you up all day long.

Open a new tab and a randomly chosen character drifts in over a slow-moving starfield, delivers a short affirmation in their own personality, and waits for you to say hello. Some are encouraging. Some are chaotic. Some just want you to give the extension five stars (ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD). The next tab brings someone new — the picker never repeats the same face twice in a row.

It's a two-second pick-me-up wired into something you already do a hundred times a day.

The full roster spans the whole universe — the Planet Express crew, the villains, the bureaucrats, the holiday enforcers, and a pile of deep-cut favorites:

• The crew — the sarcastic bending unit, the delivery boy who's a thousand years late, the one-eyed captain, the doctor of dubious credentials, the mad-scientist founder, the Grade 34 bureaucrat, the Martian heiress intern, and the ship itself.
• The recurring cast — the 25-star general, the amphibian lieutenant, the MomCorp CEO, the soap-opera acting robot, the stabbing enthusiast, the goateed twin, the smooth-talking cop, the alien ruler who demands the remote, the belligerent newscaster, and more.
• The heads in jars, the clones, the janitor, the rival scientist, the mob bosses and their enforcers.
• The holiday trio, the party worm, the brain slug, the sentient snacks, the planet-sized being of love, and a few one-of-a-kind oddballs you'll have to discover for yourself.

Every single one has affirmations written just for them — 100 unique lines in total, no repeats. You will not get the same pep talk from two different characters.

Click any character to pet them. They bounce, sparkle, and fire back a reaction line that's pure them — a grateful woop, a reluctant sigh, a demand for your wallet. A little session counter tracks how many times you've said hi. It's the kind of pointless, delightful interaction that makes a browser feel a little more alive.

Hit COLLECTION to open your archive. Discovered characters light up with their name, title, and how many times you've seen them. The ones you haven't met yet stay locked behind a question mark, with a progress bar tracking your completion toward all 44. Open enough tabs and fill the whole board — a quiet, zero-pressure collection game that plays itself while you work.

Your collection is remembered across sessions and syncs with your Chrome profile, so your progress follows you.
