FSI WebCat - Instantly catalogue any webpage into your school library (without leaving the webpage).
FSI WebCat is a browser extension built exclusively for schools running SmartSuite library management software. It lets library staff add websites, online resources, databases, and digital content to the school catalogue in a single click — no copy-pasting URLs, no switching tabs, no manual data entry.
Who is it for?
FSI WebCat is designed for teacher librarians, library technicians, and school library staff who manage SmartSuite school library catalogues. If your school uses SmartSuite library by FSI, this extension is built for you.
How it works
1) Browse to any webpage you want to add to your library catalogue
2) Click the FSI WebCat icon in your browser toolbar
3) Click "Add to My SmartSuite Library"
The webpage and all of it's metadata is immediately catalogued into your SmartSuite Library system, ready for students and staff to discover through the library portal.

Privacy
FSI WebCat does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It reads only the title, URL, description, author, and keyword metadata of the current page, and sends that data directly to your own school's SmartSuite server — nowhere else. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party data sharing.
