Overview
FloatX turns your X (Twitter) home timeline into an ambient, always-on-top picture-in-picture window that shows one post at a time and auto-advances on a timer you choose. Hover to access previous, pause, and next controls.
Features
• No Twitter/X API and no cost — FloatX reads posts directly from the rendered page of the x.com tab you already have open.
• Faithful mini-post cards displaying the avatar, name, verified badge, full post text, images, and engagement metrics (replies, reposts, likes, and views).
• Custom auto-advance interval — anywhere from a few seconds to an hour.
• Filters to skip replies, include or exclude reposts, and include or exclude media-only posts. Ads are always skipped.
• Reflects whichever feed you have open, including For You, Following, or Community timelines.
• Launch from the on-page pill (appears on page load and when scrolling up), the toolbar popup, or the Alt+Shift+X keyboard shortcut.
Compatibility
Works in Chrome and Microsoft Edge using the Picture-in-Picture APIs.
Privacy
FloatX makes no network requests of its own. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no servers or analytics. It reads only your own already-logged-in x.com session, entirely on your machine.
