Overview

Flashback adds instant replay capabilities to live streams directly in the browser.

While you watch a live stream, Flashback continuously records a short rolling buffer of the video in the background. When triggered, it instantly replays the last seconds without leaving the page.

Flashback is built using modern browser media technologies such as MediaRecorder and MediaSource Extensions, implementing a DVR-style replay system directly on the client side.

- Fixed DVR reset when switching Twitch channels
- Replay now closes cleanly when the source video changes or is lost
- Improved DVR session reset behavior to prevent stale chunks from leaking into new sessions
- Improved replay cleanup stability.
