4. The extension generates an AI-ready prompt and copies it to your clipboard

Features:
- Two modes — rigorous fact-checking or skeptical product/service validation
- Works on any webpage — articles, blogs, documentation, research papers, product pages
- Full YouTube support — automatically extracts video transcripts
- Right-click context menu — select text on any page, right-click to "Fact Check Selection" or "Validate Selection"
- Smart detection — auto-suggests the right mode based on the page you're on
- Multi-language output — get results in English, Greek, French, Spanish, Japanese, or any language
- Keyboard shortcut — Ctrl+Shift+F (Cmd+Shift+F on Mac)
Privacy first: FactCheckIt does NOT send your data to any external server. All content extraction happens locally in your browser. The extension simply copies a formatted prompt to your clipboard — you decide where to paste it.
Why use FactCheckIt?
Stop blindly trusting what you read online. FactCheckIt builds expert-level fact-checking and product-validation prompts from any webpage or YouTube video, so you can paste them into any AI chatbot and get a thorough, structured analysis in seconds.
Why use Validate Product / Service?
Check what real users had to say about the product you are about to buy. Is it a scam? Will it ship? All these questions and more will be answered and save you tons of money and frustration.
Permissions explained:

- YouTube access is used to fetch video transcripts via YouTube's API
- Clipboard access is used solely to copy the generated prompt
