Overview
EyeRest Flow is a calm, premium screen-break reminder that helps you reduce eye strain and stay comfortable through long sessions at your computer.
It nudges you to look away every 20 minutes (or whatever rhythm fits you), with a beautiful full-screen break overlay, blink reminders, and gentle posture checks — all wrapped in a minimal, wellness-app aesthetic. No clutter. No nagging. Just the gentle structure your eyes and neck have been missing.
WHY EYEREST FLOW
• Based on the eye-care community's 20-20-20 rule — every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20
seconds.
• Designed to feel like a deep breath, not an interruption.
• Eight calm themes so it blends with your day, not against it.
• Genuinely respectful of your time — pauses automatically when you're away, locked, or watching a fullscreen video.
WHAT YOU GET
• Customizable work intervals (20 / 25 / 30 / 45 / 60 min) and break durations (20 sec / 1 / 2 / 5
min).
• Full-screen break overlay with a smooth depleting timer ring, breathing halo, and snooze chips (+1 / +5 / +15 min).
• Heads-up notification + in-page toast one minute before each break, with Skip and Snooze actions.
• Pick which break activities you want — eye look-away, blink slowly, neck rolls, posture reset, breathing — rotated automatically so it never feels repetitive.
• Blink reminders and posture nudges on independent schedules.
• Smart pause — the timer stops when you go idle, lock the screen, or start a fullscreen video.
• Per-site exclusions — turn EyeRest off on specific domains where you don't want the overlay.
• Temporary pause presets — quiet the extension for 15 min, an hour, or until later in the day.
• Do-not-disturb hours, including overnight windows.
• Eight themes: Calm Blue, Sunrise, Forest, Lavender, Rose, Sand, Dark, Midnight.
• Daily stats (breaks completed, skipped, streak) plus a 14-day history chart.
• Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+B to take a break now.
• Settings sync across your signed-in Chrome browsers.
