This extension is a Manifest V3 refactor of the original Edge Translate project. After the original was removed from the store due to Google’s MV2 deprecation, we modernized the code to preserve the same user experience and improve stability.

Key features
• Selection translation with side popup: When you select text, results appear neatly in a side popup so your reading flow isn’t interrupted. You can customize what to show (common meanings, pronunciation, definitions/detailed explanations, examples, etc.) and pin the panel for frequent use.

• PDF translation/viewer: A built-in pdf.js viewer supports word/sentence translation inside PDFs. Dark mode via color inversion improves readability in low-light environments. (Due to a Firefox browser bug, this feature may be temporarily unavailable on Firefox.)
• Advanced TTS (text-to-speech): Automatically prioritizes higher-quality voices for natural reading. Improved performance and responsiveness for long sentences.

• Productivity with shortcuts: Control selection translation, expand the search panel, and pin/unpin the result panel quickly using only the keyboard.

• Blacklist: Easily add the current page/domain to a blocklist to disable selection/double-click translation on that page.

• Full-page translation (Chrome): Translate the current page from the context menu. It does not run automatically; you trigger it only when needed.

• Translation accuracy: Uses Google Translate and Bing Translate APIs for reliable results.

How to use
• Selection translation: Drag/select text to see results in the side popup
• Full-page translation (Chrome): Right-click on a page (context menu) → Translate page
• PDF: Open a document in the built-in viewer and use selection translation
