Dora — Patient data transfer between Coral AI and Epic CareLink

Dora automates patient data transfer between Coral AI and Epic Hyperspace Web (OSU CareLink), eliminating manual lookups and data entry. When viewing a patient in Coral, Dora searches the patient in Epic, extracts demographics and active insurance, and imports everything back into Coral with one click.

Key features

Automated cross-system patient search — pulls MRN, name, and date of birth from the open Coral chart and runs the matching lookup in Epic's Patient Search.
Comprehensive data extraction — captures patient ID, legal sex, birthdate, SSN, address, phone, mobile, email, and active insurance (payer, member ID, group, relationship, effective dates) from the Epic Demographics page.
Insurance-aware import — populates Coral's insurance cards including payer level (Primary / Secondary / Tertiary), policy number, relationship, and effective dates, and prefills the Check Eligibility modal.
One-click import — fills Coral's patient form (name, DOB, gender, address, contact info, MRN) automatically, including the state dropdown.
Review before commit — a "Demographics Ready" preview shows everything pulled from Epic before any field is written to Coral, so staff can verify the match.
Real-time status widget — a floating pill on the Coral page shows search progress, patient-found previews, and import actions without leaving the chart.
Resilient to Chrome service-worker hibernation — the review step persists across MV3 worker restarts so users can take their time reading the extracted record.
How it works

Open a patient in Coral and keep Epic CareLink open in another tab (signed in).
Click the Dora extension and confirm or edit the search fields (MRN, or Name + DOB).
Dora verifies your CareLink session, opens Patient Search, fills the form, runs Patient Select Confirmation, and lands on the patient's chart.
Review the extracted demographics and insurance in the floating widget.
Click Confirm & Fill to auto-fill Coral — no copy-pasting.
Dora saves healthcare staff significant time by removing repetitive manual data entry between Coral and Epic, reducing transcription errors, and streamlining patient onboarding workflows.
