Overview
A Chrome extension that lets you instantly strip diacritics from any text field via a right-click context menu — then restore the original with one more click. Works in Gmail, Outlook, plain inputs, text areas, and any content editable field.
Features
Right-click context menu — "Toggle diacritics (Ď ↔ D)" appears on any editable field; no page clutter
One-click strip — removes all combining diacritical marks (á→a, č→c, ř→r, š→s, ž→z, ů→u, …)
One-click restore — click again to get the exact original text back (stored in memory)
Gmail / contenteditable support — works in Gmail compose, Outlook, and any contenteditable rich-text area
iframe support — targets the exact frame the user right-clicked, so embedded composers work correctly
Use Cases
Writing emails without diacritics for systems that don't handle UTF-8
Filling forms that reject special characters (e-shops, legacy ERPs)
Creating ASCII-safe slugs or identifiers from Czech/Slovak text
Quickly switching between diacritics and non-diacritics while composing
While writing only without diacritics, then you are able to quickly add it to the text.
When writing through free SMS portals, use it to shorten characters limit.
