Overview
⚡ Declutter Reddit and Twitter/X
DeadDash automatically hides posts or replies containing an em-dash (—), a common indicator of AI-generated text. It only hides word-bound em dashes (word—word). If the em dash is not word-bound, the post won't be hidden.
🔑 Key features
→ Real-time filtering: posts disappear the instant they load on Twitter and Reddit.
→ Toggle anytime: flip the switch in the popup without reloading the page.
→ Stats counter: see how many posts/comments DeadDash has nuked for you.
→ Zero setup: no accounts, no config files—just install and scroll.
→ Open source & lightweight: <20 KB of code and no tracking.
🔒 Privacy first
DeadDash never sends data off your computer. It only stores a local counter of hidden posts, synced privately via Chrome Sync.
🛠️ Geek details
→ Manifest V3, no remote code, minimal permissions (storage only).
→ Works seamlessly on x.com, twitter.com, and reddit.com URLs.
→ Regex: `/\w—\w/` (word-bound em-dash) ensures speed and accuracy.
