Copy Text Without Styles

The extension allows copying unformatted text from styled web pages using the familiar copy and paste commands. Activate the extension on the source page from where the text is copied.

When you paste the text copied from the Web to a text editor such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs documents, the text is copied with its styles. But normally you do not need the styles.

The text editors offer an option like Paste special unformatted text, Paste without formatting or Ctrl+Shift+V shortcut. But if you copy a lot, if you are used to the standard Copy and Paste you do not need to change your habits if you install this extension.

When activated, the extension prevents copying text styles. The text from a website is copied without formatting and can be safely pasted as unformatted text into any text editor.
