Overview
CookbookLM helps you turn online recipes into clean, printable PDFs.
It can extract recipe titles, ingredients, steps, timing, and images from recipe webpages, then optionally use your own OpenAI API key to translate, adapt measurements, and reason about substitutions for dietary restrictions.
Features:
- Extract recipes from structured recipe pages and article-style pages
- Generate print-ready PDFs with ingredients, instructions, source QR code, page numbers, and safety notes
- Choose English or Estonian output
- Choose metric, imperial/US, original-source, or mixed measurement output
- Add allergen or dietary restrictions including gluten/celiac, dairy, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame
- Get AI-reasoned substitutions with practical method and amount notes
- Use your own OpenAI API key; no API key is bundled
- Local caching avoids repeated AI calls for the same recipe/settings combination
CookbookLM does not run its own backend. Recipe content is processed locally where possible and sent to OpenAI only when AI processing is requested.
