Catelms Sync

ateLMS Sync eliminates the daily retyping of student data between CateLMS and your school's Student Information System.

Take attendance or enter grades once in CateLMS, click "Send to SIS," and the extension types the records into your open Aspire (or PowerSchool, or Skyward) gradebook tab — the same way you would manually, just faster and without errors.

WHAT IT DOES:
• Sends attendance from CateLMS to your SIS attendance roster
• Sends grade scores, proficiency bands, and late/missing flags from CateLMS to your SIS gradebook
• Matches CateLMS assignments to existing SIS assignments using a deterministic similarity score, with optional AI tiebreaker for ambiguous cases
• Creates new assignments in the SIS when there's no match, then fills the scores
• Captures historical transcripts from your SIS into CateLMS for backfill of prior-year records

HOW IT WORKS:
The extension runs entirely in your browser. When you click Send to SIS in CateLMS, it locates your open SIS tab, reads the student roster visible there, and fills the appropriate fields — using your existing authenticated SIS session. No separate logins, no data leaving your computer to a third-party server.

PRIVACY:
Student records flow directly between CateLMS and your SIS via your browser. The extension does not maintain its own database. It does not collect telemetry. It does not contain advertising or tracking. The optional AI matching feature sends only assignment metadata (titles, point values, due dates) for classification — never student names, IDs, or grades.

• An active CateLMS account at your school district
• An authenticated SIS session in another browser tab when you click Send to SIS
