ByeHistory — Automatic Browsing Data Cleaner
ByeHistory automatically clears browser data to protect your privacy.
The application securely deletes browsing history and other data in the following situations:
When the browser starts (onStartup)
When the extension is first installed or updated (onInstalled)
When the device is locked (idle: locked)
At regular intervals (every 30 minutes)
When session validity is lost or a logout event is detected
The cleaning process covers:
History, cache, cookies, downloads, form data, storage areas (IndexedDB, localStorage, etc.), saved passwords, and service worker data.
To prevent unnecessary repetition, ByeHistory applies a 5-minute protection window and stores the last cleanup time in local storage.
This ensures a balance between performance and privacy.
