Brazen Trace captures your ChatGPT and Google AI Mode conversations with the full context: cited sources, search queries, product mentions, and citation metadata that the platforms themselves do not expose in their native exports.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Install Brazen Trace and open ChatGPT or Google AI Mode.
2. Have your conversation. The extension reads the page you are already viewing.
3. Click the extension icon and choose TXT or JSON. The file saves to your own Downloads folder.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Brazen Trace is a pure capture tool. Your conversations stay in your browser. When you click Export, the file is saved to your own computer. That file never comes to us.

We do not run analytics. We do not send telemetry. We do not create accounts, user IDs, or anonymous tokens. We do not issue any identifier to your install. We do not use ad networks, fingerprinting, or tracking pixels. We do not read your conversations on our servers, because our servers never see them.

The only data the extension receives from us is a small settings file, hosted in the European Union, that tells it how to read the current ChatGPT and Google AI Mode pages. That file is public, contains no user data and the request contains no user data.

When the extension fetches that settings file, our infrastructure provider (Supabase) sees the request's source IP at the network layer, the way any web server does. We do not read, export, or retain those logs for any product purpose.

PERMISSIONS AND DATA

Brazen Trace only requests the access it actually needs. Plain-language reasons:

- ChatGPT and Google search pages so it can read the AI conversation you want to export.
- Current tab so it can read the page you are viewing, only when you invoke the extension.
- Local storage so it remembers its own settings on your computer.
- Page-reading code on the two supported sites so it can capture the conversation for export.

What these permissions do not do: they do not let the extension read your browsing history, read other tabs, see your Google or ChatGPT account data, read Gmail, Drive, or any other service, or transmit your conversations anywhere.
