Overview
Stop leaking secrets on screen shares.
Auto Blur is a Chrome extension that finds sensitive data on any webpage - passwords, API keys, credit card numbers, emails, tokens - and hides them in real time, before anyone else can see. Runs 100% on your computer. No account, no servers, no tracking.
WHAT IT HIDES
• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• API keys (Stripe, bearer tokens, generic)
• JWTs
• AWS access keys
• Credit card numbers (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover)
• Private keys (PEM blocks)
• GitHub tokens (classic + fine-grained)
• Inline passwords and secrets (password: …, client_secret: …)
HOW IT WORKS
• Install, and it starts working immediately on every site you visit.
• Sensitive values are hidden behind a soft blur. Click any one to peek for 3 seconds, then it re-hides itself.
• Adjust the blur intensity from the popup. Toggle per-site if needed.
PANIC MODE (Pro)
Someone walks up mid-screenshare? Hit Option+Shift+B (or Alt+Shift+B on Windows) and the entire page blurs instantly. Hit it again to restore.
CUSTOM RULES (Pro)
Add your own regex patterns — employee IDs, internal URLs, project codenames, anything else you don't want flashing on screen.
PER-SITE CONTROLS (Pro)
Pause or disable Auto Blur on specific domains when you actually need to see the values. Works across all subdomains and iframes.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• No account. Install and use.
• No servers for the extension. Nothing to phone home to.
• No tracking. Not even usage metrics.
• Allowlist is stored as an irreversible fingerprint — not even we could recover what you added.
Free forever for the core pattern-detection features. Pro features available via a token (details at the link below). Suitable for developers, designers, support agents, or anyone who screen-shares code, email, or dashboards.
