Au3meet – Google Meet Aud

Au3Meet records the audio from your Google Meet call directly in Chrome and saves a file to your computer. It is built for people who want a simple local recording of meeting audio without juggling separate desktop recorders.

WHO IT IS FOR
• Anyone who runs Google Meet in Chrome and wants a downloadable audio file after the call.
• Teams and individuals who are responsible for obtaining consent and following company policy and local laws before recording.

WHAT IT DOES
• Captures audio from the Meet tab you are in (tab audio capture).
• Encodes to MP3 when possible, for a compact file you can share or archive.
• If MP3 encoding cannot complete, Au3Meet saves a WebM audio file instead so you still keep a recording.
• Saves the file through your browser’s download flow (your normal “Downloads” folder or the location Chrome is set to use).

HOW TO USE IT
1. Join a meeting at https://meet.google.com in Chrome.
2. Click the Au3Meet extension icon in the toolbar while that Meet tab is active. Chrome may show permission prompts related to capture or the microphone as part of starting a recording—follow the prompts if you want recording to proceed.
3. While recording, the extension toolbar icon shows a red badge. A small REC / STOP control also appears on the Meet page so you can stop without hunting for the icon.
4. When you stop, Au3Meet finishes processing and triggers a download of the audio file with a timestamp in the name.

PRIVACY AND DATA (THIS VERSION)
• This version is designed so that your meeting audio is processed for encoding inside the extension’s offscreen recording context and then saved as a file on your machine through Chrome’s downloads API.
