Overview
Most trackers count hours. Arthur counts two: how much you immerse, and how much you understand. Hours alone don't build a language. Comprehensible input does. Arthur tracks both, and shows whether your time lands where acquisition happens.
Automatic YouTube tracking
Confirm once which account you're learning on, and Arthur counts every video you watch on that profile, in the background. Switch accounts freely. Only the account you confirmed is tracked. Shorts can be excluded.
Comprehension tracking
After a session, one question: how much did you understand? Answer on a visual bar from 0 to 100%, or skip. Over time this becomes a second axis of progress. The dashboard shows how your watch time spreads across three bands: too hard, learning, and sweet spot. It also marks the videos you've cracked, the ones that went from barely following to understanding most of it. And once you've built up enough immersion hours since you last saw a video, Arthur suggests it for a re-watch, so you can measure how much more you understand now.
Session timer
Start a focused session in one click from the toolbar. It runs in the background. When you stop, pick a category and add a label if you want (show, episode, book).
Manual entry
Add immersion time in three clicks. Available in the side panel and in the dashboard.
Stats & dashboard
Period tiles (Today, This Week, This Month, Since Start), trend charts, a 4-week heatmap, a streak tracker, personal records, your immersion sources, top channels and videos, comprehension distribution and progress, and full session and video history.
Challenges
Set a time-bound goal. Run two at once and switch between them on the dashboard card. Each challenge breaks into stages and shows hours done, hours left, days remaining, and the hours per day you need to stay on track.
Your data stays yours
Everything stays local in your browser: no account, no server, no upload. Export as CSV or JSON, import from a backup, delete by video, channel, or time range.
ARTHUR 0.7.3 — WHAT'S NEW
A challenge release: challenges can now run several at once with a switcher, break
into stages with per-stage targets, and the account you track is confirmed
explicitly instead of guessed.
NEW
• Run two challenges at once — You're no longer limited to a single active challenge. The dashboard card now has a small switcher — dots, or a click on the title — to move between them, and a challenge you just created is shown right away.
• Challenge stages — Split a challenge into stages (equal, rising, falling, or your own custom split). Each stage shows its day span and the average hours per day it needs.
FIXED
• The tracked account is now confirmed, not guessed — Instead of silently binding to the first account it sees, the extension asks you to confirm which YouTube account a session belongs to.
• Stage days always add up — Stages split into whole days with no fractions, and the parts always sum to the full challenge span.
• Custom stages start empty and no longer mishandle pinning a stage from the second one onward.
• Tooltips no longer stick — An open tooltip closes on re-render instead of staying visible after the element under it is gone.
• Deleting a date range also clears its viewings — previously the per-day entries could linger.
CHANGED
• The challenge card reserves a fixed height for the title, so the layout stays steady regardless of title length.
