Your notes, settings and images live in your browser. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing is ever sent to us. If you turn on sync, only your settings (never notes or images) travel through your own Chrome account. Export/Import gives you a full JSON backup anytime.

No frameworks, no background processes - just a fast, quiet page. Fonts are bundled, so typography works even offline.

Chrome itself shows a small footer bar at the bottom of new-tab pages provided by extensions (Chrome 138+). That bar is part of the browser, not Aperture - to hide it, right-click the footer and choose "Hide footer on New Tab page".
